In October, I asked readers "Who in your organization is the primary source of business-focused technology innovation?". So far, Chief/Lead Architects are leading that poll, followed by Business Architects/Strategists.

Continuing on the business-focused technology innovation theme, now I'm wondering what impedes business-focused technology innovation. Essentially, what (or who) holds innovation hostage in organizations? Or, are there no impediments?
