Joe McKendrick of ZdNet's SOA Blog talks today about the perils of starting SOA projects small and potentially missing big picture items pivotal to the enterprise.
Joe says he's been interfacing lately with Infravio's Miko Matsumura, who is urging companies to start thinking about your SOA with an enterprise focus, not a pilot program approach.
Here's what Miko says:
"The shortcuts that seemed so expedient in the small picture are impossible to avoid when you take a serious corporate asset and put it up as a live service. If you don't have some reasonable architectureal guidance in place as you go to enterprise scale, even starting small wont get you there.Read more here
